THERMOGRAPHY

See the invisible. Detect problems before they become disasters.

Drone survey · pond roof · Montreal

Reading the survey

Every bright spot is trapped water

On a pond roof, water-soaked insulation releases its heat more slowly than dry areas. The contrast shows up in the evening, after a day of sun exposure, and reveals the true extent of the water infiltration — well beyond what can be seen from below.

  • Warm zones — confirmed moisture in the insulation
  • Transition — to monitor or probe
  • Cold zones — membrane and insulation in good condition

Slide over the image to compare the two surveys.

Water infiltration

Detection of wet areas under the roof membrane.

Air leaks

Identification of thermal bridges and heat loss.

Deficient insulation

Poorly insulated or degraded areas in the envelope.

Hidden pathologies

Structural problems invisible to the naked eye.

The cost varies with the type and size of the property. Contact us for a personalized, no-obligation quote. We offer competitive rates with superior report quality.

Time on site depends on the size and complexity of the building: about 2-3 hours for a single-family home, 1-2 hours for a condo, and 3-4 hours for a plex.

A building engineer provides deeper technical analysis, particularly on structure, foundations and complex systems. Our approach combines rigorous technical expertise with a structured, actionable report.

Yes. Thermography is an integral part of our inspections. It identifies anomalies related to moisture, water infiltration, heat loss and insulation defects that are not necessarily visible during a conventional visual inspection.

Montreal and the entire Greater Montreal area: South Shore, Laval, West Island and North Shore. For larger projects we serve the whole province and even Ontario.

Roof thermography is ideal before buying a building, before roof repair or replacement work, or when you suspect infiltration problems. It pinpoints problem areas precisely.

There is no strict minimum area, but thermography becomes especially cost-effective for roofs larger than 500 m². For smaller surfaces, a traditional visual inspection may be enough.

Roof thermography detects moisture and problems under the roof membrane. Envelope thermography analyzes walls, windows and façades to identify thermal bridges, air leaks and insulation problems.

Yes. Our thermographic report is documented with annotated photos and a professional analysis. It can serve as evidence in a legal action or an insurance claim.

Roof thermography is ideally done in the evening, after a day of sun exposure, to maximize thermal contrast. For the envelope, optimal conditions are during the heating season (winter) or the cooling season (summer).
